WATER DAMAGE CRAWL SPACES

When it comes to home maintenance, your crawlspace isn’t always the first thing you think about. But no part of your home is as dark and damp. Standing water in your home’s crawlspace (understructure) can cause a variety of structural problems and health concerns. Excess humidity caused by standing water in your crawlspace creates the basis for the development of certain pests and mold on the wooden foundation and the bottom of sub flooring. This can also cause warping or buckling of sub flooring, as well as contamination of the air quality in your home, ultimately producing a negative affect on your health and comfort.

Not all crawlspaces are the same. They can have dirt or concrete floors. It is important to note as well that not all crawlspace leaks are alike. Coast to Coast Water Damage & Restoration, Inc. can help with any crawlspace cleaning. If your home has a plumbing leak in the crawlspace, whether it is from a freshwater line or sewer drain, chances are your plumber will not be able to access the problem safely without having the area pumped free of standing water and/or having the sewage waste cleaned up. We, at Coast to Coast Water Damage & Restoration, Inc. are willing to do the "dirty work." We will help get your plumber to the leaky area safely, so he can make the necessary repairs or improvements and get your house back up and running again.

We offer several services to ensure your home is protected from below:

  • Extract/pump-out standing water
  • Remove and dispose of saturated and contaminated soil
  • Remove wet and damaged insulation
  • Control odors caused by broken pipes and/or sewage spills
  • Dry and dehumidify the wet environment

A broken sewer line in your crawlspace and the subsequent release of raw sewage onto your crawlspace soil can create an awful odor problem in your home. Also there are possible health concerns to the constant inhalation of sewer gas from an open or broken sewer line. If you have this problem, we at Coast to Coast Water Damage & Restoration, Inc. can help you remove all the foul odors in your home with the added benefit of introducing fresh outside air to your crawlspace. We utilize the Water Out System, which is the most powerful method in drying large structures as well as hard-to-reach crawl spaces. The outside air is brought into the Water Out trailer where it is conditioned and pumped inside the wet or damaged structure. The low humidity air from the trailer is able to absorb huge quantities of water and odors, as well as mold spores, before it is withdrawn from the structure, allowing new/fresh air to be pumped in.
